About

To design is much more than simply to assemble, to order, or even to edit: it is to add value and meaning, illuminate, simplify, clarify, modify, dignify, dramatize, persuade, and perhaps even amuse. To design is to transform prose into poetry.

ABOUT ME

Hey! You’re probably visiting this page because you’re wondering who I am. Well, my list of titles spans across multiple hobbies and places in life: I'm a husband, father, gamer, sports addict, pun maker, music lover, and of course, graphic designer. After graduating in 2015, I’ve taken a random but incredible journey throughout a variety of roles, including doing graphic design for a church and a university as well as serving as an Art Director at an ad agency in Minneapolis. I now have the joy of working on a marketing team in professional baseball.

I remember being that kid that while most were dreaming of growing up and being doctors, famous athletes, or having some other ‘heroic’ job, I was dreaming of being a sports designer. I had a passion for art, creativity, and design from an early age (and if you haven’t figured it out yet, that passion being my job is now my reality).

To me, design is not just a way to “make things look pretty”. Rather, it is a way to communicate through art. Its purpose is to create an effective way to gather information and tell a narrative, whether that is a piece of copy or the tone of a brand, while being visually pleasing and a beneficial experience for the viewer. This is the mindset that I approach design with: how can I make things easy for the end user, while also make it engaging and entertaining to interact with.
